To begin the online application process for your child to join 150 Squadron, please follow the following steps.
1. Visit the official online application from the Government of Canada website.
2. In the "Unit Name" insert "150," and click on the "150 Hamilton Tiger, Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron" once it is auto-filled. Note that the cadet units are prioritized by alphabetical orders when it is auto-filled, not by the unit closest to your location.
3. Insert your email address in the provided space.
4. Once you have received an email from the website, click on the link with your preferred language (French & English).
5. Fill out the necessary information in the provided spaces
6. After completing the application process, review your answers and submit.
Once you submit an application, a staff member from 150 will contact you with any follow up questions and provide direction on when to attend the squadron to begin training and what your child must bring with them as well as overall expectations.

how much does it cost?
There is no upfront cost to join the Air Cadet program. The Cadet Program is funded by the Department of National Defence in partnership with the civilian Navy League, Army Cadet League and Air Cadet League of Canada. The civilian sponsor requires local community support to meet its obligations that include accommodations, training aids and equipment, and program enhancements not otherwise provided.
The program itself however is not free to run. We do expect cadets to participate in squadron fundraising efforts throughout the year. This enables our squadron to function and offer exciting extra opportunities throughout the year.

can i get my pilot license?
The Air Cadet Program offers competitive scholarship opportunities to obtain both a glider pilot license and a power pilot license. These opportunities are possible for cadets who have demonstrated commitment and knowledge of the cadet program and aviation.
do i have to join the military?
No. Cadets are not members of the Canadian Armed Forces and are not required to join the military after leaving or retiring from the program. However, one of the core aims of the cadet program is to stimulate the interest of youth in the sea, land and air activities of the Canadian Forces and the potential careers therein.
