How we Work
Regular training is how the majority of the cadet program is delivered. We parade (train) on Monday nights between 1830 to 2130hrs (6:30-9:30pm). We also run additional activities often on weekends throughout the year. When a cadet joins the squadron, they begin at level 1 with the rank of Air Cadet and can advance up to the level 5 training program over the course of their cadet career potentially reaching the rank of Warrant Officer First Class. Promotion to higher levels and ranks is based on merit, attendance and progress throughout the program.
Our Expectations
Our expectations of all 150 cadets in order to participate in the program are below,
1. Be safe. Cadets must have their valid health card and any needed medication on them at all times when participating in any training activities.
2. Be prepared. This means showing up with your proper uniform, writing utensil, note book, refillable water bottle and any other kit that is indicated as required.
3. Be on time. Punctuality is important in the cadet program and we expect all cadets to respect the timings for all training activities.
4. Be informed. Our squadron relies on effective communication both up and down the chain of command in order to function effectively. This means it is a cadet's responsibility to read and understand the weekly routine orders which provide all logistical details for everything the squadron does. It also means cadets must advise officer staff if they are not receiving squadron communications in order to address the situation.
